About me
Hello!
My name is Katja Monnerjan, I have been graphic designer with passion for 27 years.
I graduated from the Art Center College of Design (Europe) in Switzerland at the end of 1992 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors.
Until 1994 I was employed in Munich at the advertising agency Graffiti as Junior Art Director.
After that I moved to Spain and worked for the internationally renowned photo agency age fotostock in Barcelona until 1998, where I was in charge of the entire graphic department, designing the new corporate identity of the company, all in-house advertising and communication materials as well as catalogs and websites.
Until 2005 I took a break for family reasons and then I was involved in many graphic concepts and advertising campaigns in Ingolstadt at schnellervorlauf and in Eichstätt at magenta4.
Since 2012 I have been living in Turin (Italy) and have been working in the print area for the PTA at the International School of Turin until 2019. In 2023 I moved to Zell am See, Austria.
In all this time, I have also worked for small clients in a flexible and successful way on a freelance basis. Additionally I am always working on private projects.
My design style lives on clear forms, visual tension without decoration, direct address to the viewer. I like to experiment but I also like to come back to traditional, classic communication and information design. Photography has always played an important role for me. I am flexible and interactive. I love sport activities and I love to be in nature.
I speak German, English, Italian and Spanish.
My main areas of expertise are:
- Logo development and the design of company presentations and concepts
- Layout and final artwork for flyers, booklets and brochures, posters and book titles
- advertisements
I work in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
